[Short film]

An exploration of the complex nuances of love, inspired by director Damien Chazelle. The short film delves into a duality of love through two intersecting timelines: the passion for an art form and the love for a person. While cooking his favorite dishes, Andrea loses himself in the memories of a romantic story with Elena in the magical Venice until something brings him back to reality. The narrative, without dialogue, uses music and colors to guide the audience through the emotions and feelings of the protagonists.

.

The challenge was to represent different timelines through three locations and varying atmospheres. Starting in the kitchen, with beige tones that are reflected in Andrea’s clothing as he dreams of becoming a great chef, moving through Venice with its pink and blue hues where Elena stands out thanks to complementary colors, until love, with its vibrant colors, gradually becomes darker and sadder, shifting to shades of blue. In contrast, the red of love’s memories appears in the kitchen. Suddenly, we’re in a restaurant; the atmosphere is professional but also cold and sterile. The only colors are in the dish he prepared because the love is gone, and only a memory remains.
